  No one is an island, not even the do-it-yourself recording artist. This recording (the first of my own music), has been a very long time in the making. It really began when, as a teenager, Bernice showed me how to play a "D" chord on the guitar. I have been drawn to many different kinds of music, and I hope that everyone may find something here that is to their liking. Someone once said, "Don't die with your music still in you." I think that goes for whatever form of creativity that desires to be expressed through you. As we work hard to make the dreams that we dare to dream a reality, we help to bring into existence a better world for everyone. I have many people to thank - so many friends and my entire family. I would like to thank Thoreau for telling us to "Simplify, simplify, always simplify". Interestingly, my wife Deryl has often said the same thing when it comes to my music. None of the pieces on the CD used more that eight instrument tracks in their production. I poured blood, sweat, heart, and hopefully spirit into every piece of music presented here. Thanks most especially to the Lord Jesus Christ for His great Love and never ending patience. He is not through with me yet, and for that I am eternally grateful. Thanks also to the Fort Collins Tuesday Night Folk Dancers, who inspired me to "try my hand" at writing several of the waltzes and dance pieces included here.
